Come and visit the new Teen Room: Teens and young adultsWe have opened a new teen area designed especially for our teenage group. The “Poetry Café” is located in the Young Adult area and is open for teens ages twelve and over. We have special booths set up in there and hope that this will become a popular area for the teens to hang out in . However, we are also asking that the older school kids no longer go into the children’s area as that is primarily for our youngest group of readers. There will be many more activities to look forward to for the Jr. and Sr. High groups including movie nights and “after-hours” activities. Keep an eye out for our upcoming events!

The Lamar Public Libray is looking for Youth volunteers to help with this year's Summer Reading Program, Catch the Reading Bug. Individual volunteers are needed to help with the program and as readers for our new reading program in the afternoon.
